Magazine Articles

The history and work of this organization is important to the advancement of our knowledge regarding the contributions of African Americans to the history of America.  This knowledge is by no means proprietary to ASRI. However, its perspective is unique and therefore important to be understood by African Americans and other peoples in America and beyond. In a riveting series of articles, KREOL Magazine will expose the work and passion of a man, a mission and ultimately a collective consciousness that should be brought to light.

African Scientific Research Institute Archeological Investigative Research

Millions of Africans transported from their continent and enslaved were buried as slaves in the new world land and literally forgotten by their enslavers and descendants alike. The record of first burials of native Africans began on the slave ship Henrietta Marie, a 120-ton merchant vessel that set sail for the new-world states in September 1699. Henrietta Marie participated in the seventeenth and eighteenth-century Triangular slave trade from West Africa through the Caribbean to New England and back.
